Digital Radio
The system for digital radio in official public service is DAB/DAB+. Coverage by population already stands at approx 90% thanks to a dense network of Band III transmitters. DAB+ transmissions have begun in Graubünden and a timetable for the conversion of the ensembles in the other three regions of the country has been announced.
Digital Television
The system for digital television used in Switzerland is DVB-T, using MPEG 2. High-definition broadcasts are available only via satellite, not yet by terrestrial transmitters.
When comparing internet retailers, remember to include the cost of delivery in your calculations.
Retailers with low headline prices can often have higher delivery charges. Comparison websites usually list the lowest headline price first, but the best deal may be lower down the list.
